Introduction

Ms. Ruby Rutabaga was reading the story of Jack and the Beanstalk to her first grade class.  The children had brought seeds from home, and Sam’s seed was the most interesting of all.  The seed was the size of your big toe and the color of green gak.  After the story, the children took their seeds outside to plant them.  The next day when they came to school, they were amazed to see that Sam’s seed had grown into the most unusual looking plant anyone had ever seen.  Can you help Ms. Ruby Rutabaga’s class learn all they can about Sam’s plant?
